What are group breaks?

Group breaks provide a group of people the opportunity to open boxes by dividing the cost of the product and dividing up all cards by teams. NHL – 30 TEAMS. This is a great way to be involved in having single or multiple boxes opened at a minimal cost.

How do group breaks work?

First, the number of participants are dependent on the sport. There are 30 teams in the NHL, so we can do 30 spots to reduce the cost but many times Imperial Garden will do 28 spots and combo the four teams lesser desired teams / lower value teams together to increase the odds of having the team receive a card(s).

We will either set a designated number of times we will random prior to the break or use the random.org dice or real life dice to determine how many times we will random the list of each break.

We will note which break format and style prior to breaking like; random team, division breaks, team select, random HIT draft, First Name or Last Name random pairings.

Everyone in the break will be randomized <x> times to determine which TEAM selection order they will be in. Where <X> will be determined by the twice roll, if we roll a one we will re roll the dice one more time and add the one to the next roll.

Example: first roll is a ONE, second roll his a FOUR. Total Random will be FIVE.

BREAK RULES:

In the event of a multi player card with two different teams, each team will be put into random.org three times each and random three times and the team on top after the random will receive the multi player card.

*** FOR DUAL SHIELD CARDS OR ANY MULTI TEAM HIT, HAVE A VALUE APPROX ~$300+ WE WILL NOT RAND0M THE CARDS BUT HAVE BOTH PARTIES DISCUSS A DEAL IF THEY WISH TO SELL AND SPLIT. IF BOTH PARTIES AGREE TO RAND0M WE WILL SCHEDULE A DATE AND TIME ON NEXT LIVE BROADCASTING TO DO THE RAND0M WHEN BOTH PARTIES ARE PRESENT *

In addition, if a card features a player who had played for two teams in the same season it will go to the TEAM NAME SHOWN FRONT – BLACK of the card.

Example: Jordan Staal card is shown he’s wearing a Penguins Uniform and the front and back of the card is shown with in writing/logo with CAROLINA HURRICANES team , the card WOULD GO TO THE CAROLINA HURRICANES based on the TEAM NAME TITLE shown on the card. If there’s no team / logo shown it would go to the current team he’s on as of the product release date.

Relocated Team hits will go to the current NHL Franchise that is in existence. Examples: OLD Winnipeg Jets Franchise would goto the Phoenix Coyotes. Minnesota North Stars would go to Dallas Stars. Quebec Nordiques would go to Colorado Avalanche. Hartford Whalers would go to the Carolina Hurricanes, Atlanta Thrashers would go to the NEW Winnipeg Jets Franchise. etc.

If a card is pulled of a current and present player in a TEAM CANADA OR any other international team the card would go to the CURRENT NHL TEAM he’s uniformed in the product.

If a legend/retired hockey player like Wayne Gretzky is pulled in 13-14 products in a Team Canada Uniform it would be given to the NHL team he played the most REGULAR SEASON games with, which will be the Edmonton Oilers.

Also for NHL All Star Uniformed player card is pulled it would go to the current players current NHL TEAM he’s featured in. If a present player like Wayne Gretzky is pulled and we cannot make out the NHL TEAM LOGO (On Shoulder Badge/Helmet/Jersey) or ALL STAR YEAR he was presenting in the All Star Game it would the most regular seasons game played, if there is a tie for regular season games played with two teams it would be determined by OVERTIME games via nhl.com stats.

Example: In 11-12 UD THE CUP Wayne Gretzky has a scripted swatches card featuring him in an All Star uniform and it states 1993 NHL All Star Game in Montreal. With the year of All Star Game indicated it would be awarded to the Los Angeles Kings as that’s the NHL TEAM AT THE TIME.

If a card is pulled from a professional athlete that has NEVER played in the NHL all the teams in the break will be ran’dm three times each and team on top will receive this hit.
Example: If a Cassie Campbell Autograph is pulled from a set, since she’s never played in the NHL ALL 30 NHL TEAMS in the break will be ran’dm for it and team on top after the ran’dm will receive the card. Another example if Rory McIlroy Cup Tribute is pulled it would be ran’dm between all 30 NHL Teams as he’s NEVER played in the NHL.

 Special Subset – ERRORS Determination:

All Wild and Roman Numerial Rookie Redemption Cards will be randomed between everyone in the break THREE TIMES, until a Checklist is revealed from Upper Deck on the players/teams.

IF A GOLDEN TICKET / RELIC DRAFT Featuring FOUR PRINCESS CUT DIAMONDS will be RANDOMED between the 25 QUAD Rookies on the Black Diamond Checklist!

Don Cherry’s National Treasure Choice Subset will go to the players current team shown as Don Cherry is listed a commentator and doesn’t have a team he’s representing.

ERRORS:  Upper Deck  17-18 and 18-19 Cup Card PRINT PLATES ERRORS.  Upper Deck released many print plates with incorrect player names on it. The Print Plate will be awarded to the PLAYER – TEAM depicted on the physical Print Plate Card, not the player name on the card.

What happens if no players come out for my team(s)?

Each participant is NOT guaranteed to receive a card and/or the same dollar value in cards by joining a group/box break. There is the chance a group break will not yield any cards for a participant/team. There is also the chance that the participant will receive one (or multiple) cards. For all participants that don’t receive a card from a group break, you will receive send a card/pack/ or entered into a free single break (may not be same value) unless stated otherwise.

By purchasing a team or spot in a group break, you are acknowledging you understand you may not receive a card or the return of the full value of the purchased price.
